Lost Army Job Tied to Doubts on Contractor

advertisement

The Army official who managed the Pentagon's largest contract in Iraq says he was ousted from his job when he refused to approve paying more than $1 billion in questionable charges to KBR, the Houston-based company that has provided food, housing and other services to American troops.

The official, Charles M. Smith, was the senior civilian overseeing the multibillion-dollar contract with KBR during the first two years of the war. Speaking out for the first time, Mr. Smith said that he was forced from his job in 2004 after informing KBR officials that the Army would impose escalating financial penalties if they failed to improve their chaotic Iraqi operations.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I dont think I would call cheney's gang..
"friends",
they are mostly business associates..

oh,
and by the way, Bill,
that article I told you about before...

check out on ABCnews.com
Halliburton..
they have a rape case against a young lady who was drugged,
and gang-raped, while working in Iraq, in the green zone,
while working there.
They (halliburton) wants it to go through arbitration, or I think they mean behind closed doors, and swept under the rug, quietly, However, a judge has ruled, that her case is going to be heard by a jury.
and this one incident isnt the only one either. There are even more cases are coming out, regarding women who were raped while working for KBR, or halliburton, in Iraq..
Go to ABCnewscom. and do some searching, under halliburton, and rape cases.
I wish my best to these women, because they were told no one would listen, and that they would no longer be working..
Good luck to them, Jamie Jones, and a few other women too.
